The Mirror Phase project was launched in 2014 as a sculpture project in school (School of art in University of Manitoba). In this sculpture, which is hollow ( 6 x 5 7 ft), Plexiglas mirrors were installed inside the sculpture. This form creates infinite reflection of the image of the audience, when the audience steps in and locks him/herself within the sculpture, closing a door of the sculpture. With the reflected images, the audience has the opportunity to perceive themselves and find their true identity.

As a sequel to this project, I am planning on composing an outdoor snow sculpture. While the theme and basic concept of this project are similar to the first one (2014), this sequel sculpture will be placed in a popular place, like a garden of Deer Lodge Centre, as a public art for people, who pass by it and never expect to see a sculpture. It is, I believe, a destiny of Contemporary art rather than locked in a empty gallery.
Plans of Mirror Phase 2, 2016
As indicated by the drawings of this project, the scale of the sculpture will be slightly larger than the first project (6 x5x7 ft). The materials for this sculpture will be snow and Plexiglas mirrors. While the Plexiglas mirrors were only installed inside of the first Mirror Phase, in this second project the mirrors will be also attached outer surface of the sculpture.
In addition, I have also designed another outdoor snow project called Crystal Gallery, which I plan to work on sometime after completing Mirror Phase 2. Mirror Phase 2 will be a good lead in to the future monumental project, Crystal Gallery.
